Don't trust the average rating alone. The Marketplace switched its review scale in 2026, and averages smooth over years of history. Open the newest ten reviews of any app you shortlist — an app can hold a decent average while its recent reviews tell a different story.
Installs measure history, not quality. The biggest apps here have been listed for a decade. Look at installs together with the rating, and check "last updated" for signs of active maintenance.
